Grandparents of Yarnboming Sisters Honored in Crocheted Lace

Infamous yarnbombing sisters Jill and Lorna Watt of Knits for Life shared their most recent labor of love this past Friday when they unveiled these incredible portraits of their grandparents rendered in crocheted lace.

Although their work usually takes the form of knitted fabric, sometimes even made with electronic knitting machines, the duo put their needles aside in favor of some new crochet hooks and set to work creating these painstakingly detailed pieces of filet crochet, which clearly illustrate a glowing affection for their grandparents.

Crocheted lace certainly make their grandparents look like a handsome couple and I’m sure they’d be honored by this touching tribute!
