Waistband Gap Fix: Taking in Jeans at the Side Seams

I’m cursed/blessed with a backside that’s proportionally bigger than the rest of my body. This means, among other things, that I always need to buy pants in a size that fits my butt, not my waist, which often results in the dreaded crack-showing waistband gap. As fellow sufferers will know, this problem has nothing to do with weight, it’s all about basic body shape and build—the waistband gap doesn’t care if slim or curvy, it’s an equal opportunity fit problem. So, what can you do in the face of such a wily nemesis? A bit of basic tailoring, of course! Make your favorite jeans even better with this tutorial for taking in jeans (or other pants) at the side seams from Freshly Picked!

Ready to banish that gap? Grab those ill-fitting pants and head on over to Freshly Picked to get started!
