The Hand Embroidery Network is quickly building a rich resource of stitch instructions through their Stitch A Day project. The pictures and instructions are very clear, and they often include variations on the stitch and good pictures of the final stitch in action, making the lessons incredibly valuable.

This has inspired me to pull out some long-neglected embroidery projects and learn some of those stitches that i never quite mastered.
