The Type A is capable of 90mm/s printing with 250mm/s travels while achieving 0.1mm – 0.05mm (50 micron) layer thicknesses. So it’s accurate enough for high-resolution models, without taking forever to print them. The new Winchester extruders are made of machined aluminum and were specifically engineered with reliability in mind. A beefy torsion spring ensures that mis-feeds a thing of the past, and lever action loading makes filament changes a snap.
The Type A comes fully assembled and calibrated, so all you have to do is take it out of the box, install the software, and start printing. Make sure you stock up on 1.75mm PLA filament, once you start printing with this machine, you’ll never want to stop.
