If you enjoyed seeing all of the projects at the White House’s first ever Maker Faire today, continue the fun this summer!
Starting July 7, young makers age 13 and up can be a part of Maker Camp, a free online summer camp hosted on Google+. Throughout the six weeks, kids can pick and choose projects like creating stomp rockets, paper circuits, and much more. Campers will also take virtual field trips to cool destinations every Friday, including exploring Google’s self driving car and checking out space with NASA.
If you don’t have an Internet connection at home or your camper wants to work in a group, that’s no problem at all! Maker Camp is being hosted at a number of libraries, schools, and museums across the country this summer. Head to Makercamp.com to find a local makerspace near you.
Interested campers and organizations can sign up here! Let’s kick off a summer of making! #NationOfMakers
