The NOMAD Project: call for entries

Have you produced a low or no budget film? The NOMAD Project has a call for entries out for it’s “Access & PARADOX” exhibition, which could be a great opportunity to show off your DIY movie making skills:

NOMAD Films was created as a means for exhibiting new approaches to producing and distributing short, documentary and feature films. It’s time to stop seeing lack of funding as a problem but to instead see it as a challenging way for artists to truly showcase their talents. Our partnership with “Access & PARADOX” creates an ideal opportunity for selected filmmakers to share their work with a diverse audience, ideally broadening the understanding of and appreciation for cinema and its makers.

Through this partnership, NOMAD Films will curate an exhibition of short films directed
and/or produced by independent filmmakers utilizing innovative and explorative ways of
filmmaking. The films can be narrative or documentary, and should relate to the fair’s
unofficial theme “Nostalgia for Nature”. Projects will be accepted July 1, 2010, through
August 31, 2010. Filmmakers whose projects are selected will be notified in September.

The photo that was used in this article is from the independent film, “Yellow Lights”, which won “Best Feature” and “Best Cinematography” at Indie Fest USA, despite the fact that we shot it for only $500! We also made a 30-min behind-the-scenes making-of documentary that lets you get insight in how to make your own low-budget film. Find out more at http://YellowLightsMovie.com and use coupon code “Indie” to save $3 off a DVD.
