Craft Projects from the San Diego Zoo

I love the San Diego Zoo, but had no clue that their website had a kid’s craft section until I saw this blog post from The Felt Mouse. Could this sea turtle marionette project be any cooler? I especially love that it is made from recycled materials, so it’s a great way to teach kids about the animal world and conservation at the same time.

I have been exploring Zoos for years now, most zoos have websites but few offer much information. The San Diego Zoo is one of the better websites, they do offer a lot.
I do encourage people to email their local zoo and ask them to expand their websites. This way everyone will know more about the conservation efforts they are involved, zoo news, and events happening at that zoo.
