Instructables user cbaabc73‘s created his own outlet timer from basic electrical parts that can be found in any hardware store. He made it because his wife would accidentally leave her curling iron on, but I think it could be perfect for a charging station so that your devices aren’t drawing vampire power after they’re done charging.

I made something similar, but attached a cord and plug to it, making it a kind of limited-time extension cord. I use it for battery chargers, to shut them off after 14 hours of charging, so as not to overheat the cells.
This should appeal to dads like me who spend half their time walking around turning off lights, radios, TVs, etc in empty rooms. Also very good for the bathroom fan.

You might consider using a motion detector switch with a preset delay and a GFCI if you’re planning on using it in a bathroom.
