Via the HacDC Blabber list comes this giddy-with-awesome cardboard racetrack with camera-mounted R/C cars and an arcade racing cockpit where the driver controls the vehicle. The builder, Malte Jehmlich, says he spent several months working on the project. It’s WipEout meets vintage R/C racing. I want! [Thanks, Daniel Packer!]

He should lower the center of gravity by relocating the 9v batteries between the front and back wheels. It doesn’t look like the car has any lack of acceleration, so putting some small lead weights in the front and back might also be more beneficial than problematic. I’d be amazed if no one donated the stuff needed to make a player 2 setup. I’d love to see a head to head.
