CraftStylish is celebrating the release of Susan Beal’s Button It Up with a month full of button-based projects. I am in awe of this simple but beautiful woven button coaster from Linda Permann. And while it can be a bit time consuming, the results are well worth the wait.

Although part of me was wondering when I’d be done sewing these tiny buttons together and whether I was nuts for attempting this with such tiny buttons, the other part of me really enjoyed the meditative quality of this project and the prettiness of the finished coaster.

I love the versatility of the project. By just switching up the thread color and button styles, you could make all kinds of interesting coasters!
