The Austin Children’s Museum has a great Maker Kids exhibit going on right now that includes all kinds of hands-on experiments, projects and crafts in true Maker Faire style. Tomorrow, Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching will be on hand to teach a kids embroidery workshop. It’s been unbearably hot here in Austin, and embroidery is the perfect summer pastime for kids looking to get out of the heat. Jenny will demo basic embroidery techniques on felt with fun kid-friendly designs like robots, unicorns, pirates and monkeys. I’ll be there, helping with the demos! Check out the Facebook event page for full details and to RSVP. Hope to see you there!

No mention of the fact that it’s SUZI BLU in the photo?
Hi Mary –
The woman in the picture is Jenny Hart. This is a picture I took at Maker Faire Austin when Jenny was doing an embroidery demo in the Maker Shed.
Thanks for checking!
