How-To: Hobby Horse

Here in Texas, Rodeo season is always a big part of spring. As a kid, we actually had a “Rodeo Day” holiday off from school (no kidding). When my kids started school, the trend moved more toward having a kid-centered rodeo at the school. Parents were encouraged to make simple homemade stick horses to send with their children instead of sending fancy store-bought ones. I was excited to get to work on one for my daughter, but finding a simple pattern to follow at the time proved difficult. I ended up winging it, and though I liked what I ended up with, it would have been awesome to have this tutorial from Abby of While She Naps to follow. Of all the things I’ve made for my kids, their hobby horses were the most loved, most used creations. Head over to Whip Up to get Abby’s tutorial so you can make some similar fun for your family.
