Maker Faire veterens ArcAttack recently persuaded Grant Imahara to enjoy one of their really high-voltage tunes from within an oh-so-cozy Faraday cage – looks like good times to me! [Thanks, Joe!]

very cool and no mistaking it.
yet i’ve always wondered about the ozone concentration that one is breathing during such an impressive performance. “…Even very low concentrations of ozone can be harmful to the upper respiratory tract and the lungs…blahblahblah”: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozone#Safety_regulations
Due to the high temperatures of the arc, most the ozone is destroyed as soon as it’s formed. If one makes a glow type discharge however, the UV apparently allows for the formation of ozone far enough away that it’s cool enough to survive.
I’m wondering if there is any sort of secondary radiation from the faraday cage when it’s hit. Or inductive re-radiance or fields that are created by the strike?
