Where do you look for models to 3D print? Assuming you aren’t designing your own all the time, that is. It’s a question we asked a while ago (Bambu launched their own platform shortly after). And now there are even multiple sites promising to generate a perfect, 3D-printable model on demand. It seems an increasingly crowded space to launch a new platform into. But it seems Snapmaker isn’t one to back down from a challenge.
Today, Snapmaker announced the open beta of Snapmaker Space. They’ve built up a collection of 2,500 for launch, which seems like a decent number to start. To encourage contributors, they’re offering reward points for user-submitted designs that go viral. Designs that use multiple colors (ie, designs that play well to Snapmaker’s strengths) get extra points.
