For the last few years, I’ve made geeky iron on shirts for my kids on their birthdays. I usually find a way to include some bit of their party theme on the front of the shirt, and then put “Birthday Girl” or “Boy” and their age on the back, baseball uniform style. I used to think I was so clever. That was until I spotted this brilliant birthday shirt from House on a Hill Road that she made for her daughter. What’s even better is that the tally mark applique was her daughter’s idea! I’ve always known kids are way more clever than me, and this just proves it.
