DiResta Picks the Contents for the Latest Maker Box

Hey, look! It’s Jimmy DiResta.

Jimmy DiResta is the latest celebrity to be tapped by Quarterly to curate the items in their Maker Box series. The Maker Box is a subscription-based service that sends a box full of kits geared for makers and tinkerers to your door every 3 months. Past boxes have been curated by Mark Frauenfelder, Bill Nye, and Bob Claggett (so Jimmy’s in good company).

The first Maker Box. You can search for #MKR01 to see what others have said about it.

Contents of each box is kept secret (half the joy is being surprised), but we know one of the items that DiResta will be including: this set of metal stamps, good for putting that personal touch on wood and leatherworking projects… hmm, I wonder if there will be something included for you to test the stamps out on, but that’s all I know.

These boxes are shipping out tonight to ensure that they arrive for the holidays, so if you’re interested you’ll need to subscribe ASAP (before 11:59pm PST to be precise).
