Steven Roberts, the original technomad (and occasional MAKE contributor), is selling his amazing Microship, an amphibian pedal/solar/sail-powered micro-trimaran. Gizmag has posted an article detailing the craft and Steve’s desire to find a new home for it.

Roberts’ boat features pedal, sail, and electric propulsion, hydraulically-retractable wheels that allow it to make amphibious landings, a (tiny) sleep-aboard cabin, an 8-channel peak-power-tracker with thruster control, LED navigation lights, stock marine VHF radio, and a 480-watt solar power system. There were a swag of other electronics that were going to be added, but… after just one mini-expedition around Puget Sound, he has decided to go back to something bigger.

Steve doesn’t just want to sell it (the asking price is $73K), he’s hoping to find a technomadic Mini-Me who’ll continue the kind of work, media evangelism, and high adventure that drove him to build the boat and set sail in the first place.

For sale: World’s most teched-out micro-trimaran
