Pollymecca the housetruck pulled up in front of MAKE headquarters earlier this week, and she was lovely. Inspired by gypsy caravans and British “living wagons,” maker John Labovitz set out to create a house on wheels complete with a workspace for his projects in photography, programming, and research. His website lays out all the technical details, including how the core frame is made entirely of 2″ square-tube steel and how the structure is heated by a tiny woodstove. Check out his Flickr set for more images of the build and final product.

That’s awfully tempting.
All it needs is an alarm system for the ‘house’ that’s integrated with the truck, and vice versa ;)
Amazing, quality work. And I think a modern cab-over-engine commercial truck was a very practical choice for the base vehicle… but I have to wonder, how much cooler would this look with an old Willys Jeep FC-170 cab in the front?
