Coffee can alarm clock

Arduino

This Instructable shows you how to build an Arduino-based alarm clock inside of a Illy coffee tin.

The electronics are based on Wiseduino (Arduino clone with DS1307 real time clock on board), with a LED matrix shield sitting on top. The shield is built with 74HC595 shift registers that drive two bi-color (red, green, and orange by subtraction) 8×8 LED matrices.

    Can anybody help?

I have a marble run that i want to turn into a kinetic alarm clock.

My thought, on advice i’ve been given, is to have a resistor connected motor connected to a alarm clock. When the alarm goes off (minus the buzzer obviously) it activates the motor that had four paddles on it which turns at about 0.5 rotation a second. This will then feed the marbles along the marble run which will then travel throgh the run and end on hit a bell. On hitting the snooze button it will stop the motor.

    Thoughts?
