I’ll buy it when it’s reasonably priced. 55 bucks, really? The Wiznet chip is quoted at 3.99$ (by 5) and there are maybe 5$ in other parts…

So, if you have the knowledge, and thousands of dollars worth of equipment, then you can make your own for 10 bucks, and have something relevant to say.
While it might be nice if you’ve already bought one of the compatible Arduino boards, it’s much cheaper to get the Arduino EthernetPro which is $54 on Sparkfun.
