Light Up the Room!

Our next project used the NeoPixel matrix and ring to light up our room to match the color changing fountain that is a prominent feature of the hotel at night.

The code was simple – we watched the colors outside, hand picked RGB values to match, and adjusted the timing manually to match. We thought about using Processing and the laptop webcam to watch the fountain in order to get the proper color at a given time, but that was just too much work for vacation :)

The room window shears made a great diffuser. It was much brighter and obvious than the camera shows below, but we could have used double the NeoPixels to really make it awesome.
