I’m sure this kind of thing could be used to turnkey just about any IC, be it PIC or AVR.. Maybe with an ICSP header on top.
This kinda thing would be especially useful to connect all the grounds together, as well as adding a 0.1uF capacitor between power and ground.
I foresee a whole line of small circuitboards along this line, for different pincounts, IE PIC16, PIC18, etc
