Here’s a cool port of Arduino and Processing software running on the famed One Laptop Per Child (OLPC). This will no doubt enable lots of new hackers to emerge from the laptop’s growing user base.
OLPC runs Processing and Arduino – Link, thanks Gian!

Too bad it can’t grow much more (at least as far as makers are concerned), as the give one-get one isn’t an option anymore. Now you have to deal with the ebay scalpers…
Excellent news for the units that are already in circulation. An integrated socket around the screen bezel would make it many times better.
To clarify: it’s not really a port, it’s just clarification of how to do the install and install an alternative window manager. Processing will run on any Linux distribution that supports Java. I find a little concerning, in fact, that the default window manager causes such problems … or that OpenGL is so slow. I expect we’ll see, for instance, reasonably capable 3D cards at the ultra-low end.
