I had some extra real estate in my tampon case, so I assembled my new TV-B-Gone kit inside. I pulled out the button and aimed it slightly downward, so it can be activated by items on a table like the base of a wine glass or silverware, for going incognito in a restaurant. – Link.
I sincerely hope your TV-B-Gone is made of RoHS compliant components… Please look it up for your own safety.
Great idea although.

Nothing says “incognito” better than “tampon case on the restaurant table.”

Ok, I like gadgets and projects but I just don’t gett the TVbGone.
It seems pretty arrogant to say “I don’t like tv so I will deactivate every one that I get near.” Presumably, people are watching these tv’s.
Where are the tv’s that are being turned off? Airports? Bars? Hospital waiting rooms? If so the people using this device are total jerks.
ehsays:
1. is putting some random project in a tampon case really new and innovative enough for anyone to care about?
2. is there a machine that deactivates all these annoying people with tv-b-gones? i’m just asking because they have started to annoy me a lot more than televisions.

Why stop at TV-B-GONE, how about CAR-DVD-B-GONE?
TV-B-Theresays:
I also wanted to say that people using these devices have to be major assholes. Especially when they have to hide the devices in an iPod or a tampon case so as to avoid all responsibility of taking someone’s entertainment away from them.

you dont need 4wires for the switch…
pick any two diagonally will do.
