Now, I’ve heard a lot of fun titles in my day, but “lighted costume designer” is definitely in the top ten. Instructables user enlighted is responsible for those fancy EL wire suits from the Daft Punk 2007 tour, and now we get to see how to add EL wire to clothes for our very selves.

EL has definitely come a long way since its introduction in the mid nineties. While still a fan of LED’s (for reasons ranging from longer battery life, brighter output, safer, more economical etc.) there is still a place for people that want full cords of light.
In fact one really cool item that I’ve seen and written an article about is an EL clock shirt, this EL shirt actually keeps time. Imagine never being asked for the time again or even never being late. This shirt is really cool and I get stopped all the time asking where I got it.
