Last year I wrote about the series Raw Craft, hosted by Anthony Bourdain. I was smitten with the series before, and now I’m blown away. I don’t know if the Balvenie Distillery had always planned on producing multiple seasons of the show, or if they decided to continue because the previous ones were so wonderful, but I’m grateful. The new episode is simply fantastic. The cinematography is stunning and Bourdain is delightfully unassuming as usual. I couldn’t pull myself away.
This episode focuses on Elizabeth Brim, master metalsmith and instructor at the Penland School of Crafts. She creates incredible works of wrought iron that appear soft and supple. Not only that, she does it with grace and humor.
