DiResta: Hardwood Mallet

The wood  lathe I use most often is a vintage “Blount”  brand lathe. I have been using since I was young boy. My dad purchased it at an estate sale in the 70’s

I was thinking of a good project for the lathe and I settled on this mallet. I looked in the scrap pile and I found this piece of ipe and chunk of a beech wood butcher block. Both are hardwoods and perfect for a mallet. Enjoy!
