Since I got my new table saw in the fall, I’ve been needing to create a new cross cut sled. My old one was for the delta and it will not fit the new Sawstop. When thinking about a new design, I wanted to incorporate two ideas into it: the miter cut (45°) and the cross cut (90°).
This is a design in progress — I will use it and improve it as time goes on. I also needed to replace my old 3/4″ table top on my out feed table with a new surface because the guides were cut for the old sled. Since I replaced the top with half of this and the sled was able to slide over it, I eliminated the need to make grooves for the new sled. I like this design because the table grooves collect debris.
