Japanese maker Mikiono built this homemade scroll saw almost entirely from wood with proportionately few metal fasteners and mechanical components. Running off a 0.2kW three-phase motor, the first thing you’ll notice when the machine kicks on is the distinct noise it makes, with the wood absorbing a large amount of the machine’s vibrations.
