While these sawhorses are about the most awesome work support I’ve ever seen, I’ll probably never build them. It seems a bit ludicrous to me to require a table saw, and mortise-and-tenon joints, to build saw horses. Combine these with a nice plank and you’ve got yourself a pretty awesome table. But I’d be afraid to use these in the wood shop for fear of damaging them!
The point is, to the Japanese, beauty is a part of the utility of something. The dont usually make ugly. Even if it’s “everyday” they dont see a need for it to not look good as a part of its functionability.
You have given a very good and a nice information about Building Japanese Sawhorses. The information which you have given is beneficial for me also for others who wants to know this. I liked and very much impressed by this.
