Chris Schaie has a background in fine art, graphic design, and advertising. In 2009 he bought his first CNC router and a week later got his first training at “Camp ShopBot” at Maker Faire Bay Area. In 2010 he brought this project to the Faire and won an Editor’s Choice blue ribbon. He now owns a small CNC business and teaches CNC at Makerplace in San Diego, California.
