Kermitt Quick made a game called “Tringo” in Second Life (an online multiplayer world) – Tringo is like Bingo and Tetris all in one. In the virtual world it was a huge hit, and now cell phone companies and gameboy game publishers are licensing it from the Maker. The cool part about all this – residents in Second Life own all their own content, so things like this can flourish. Link.

Andy writes “I picked up a Velleman K8055 USB I/O card the other day and was a bit disappointed that the only software that came with it was a closed source Win32 DLL and a simple control panel for the board.
