Searching Flickr groups for “Lego” returns over four-thousand hits. Among the interesting oddities I’ve discovered so far is the LEGO Life-Size weapons group, which has 160 items. Shown here is M4 v5 by The Dawg’s Guns. There are also Lego knives, Lego bombs–even a wearable Lego Boba Fett get-up.
Since the Makers Market beta closed, a group of self-described “MM Refugees” has set up an Etsy treasury to promote their “wonderful science, tech and artistic creations.” I’m very pleased to see this; some of my personal favorites are included. It’s probably not much good against the rain, but this handy bit of urban fieldcraft from YouTuber sumitsumit would be hard to beat for showing off your DIY-fu at the local hackerspace, coffeeshop, or school. Pretty much guaranteed to impress that attractive gentleman or lady in your engineering class. It takes about 20′ of rope, includes an adjustable shoulder-strap, and–I suspect–could probably be tied or untied in ten seconds or less with practice.
