How-To: Bottlecap Candles

I just love these tiny bottlecap candles from Craftaholics Anonymous. What a fun way to reuse both the caps and the stubs of some broken crayons. I could see these scattered about a buffet table or grouped in a pattern to create a design of flickering lights.

How-To: Restore a Wood Picture Frame

Kristin Roach of Craft Leftovers fame shares a very useful tutorial for turning beat-up old frames into beautiful like-new ones. She covers removing mold, tightening up loose corners, and adding a fresh finish. That box of ancient frames in my garage finally has a future!

Ether Egg

Ether Egg

It’s a dorky chemistry joke and it’s a pun and it’s an egg. It’s like it was made just for me. Pictured is diethyl ether, which is what most folks are talking about when they say “ether.” But the C-O-C bond is really what makes an ether, and there are infinitely many possible ether eggs if this one does not satisfy your need for them. I am personally holding out for fluoromethyl hexafluoroisopropyl ether eggs. Thank you, Thingiverse user linuxwrangler.
