TI Calculator enthusiasts rejoice. A few weeks ago, Dan Englender released a new flash application usb8x. Usb8x is a driver that interfaces with the On-the-Go USB port in the TI-84 Plus and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. It is designed to be used by other programmers to create drivers for a variety of USB peripherals, including a keyboard and mouse. Link.
In Vietnam, there is a shortage of endoscopes, with normally only one in each province. A hospital doctor in the poor rural area around the Mekong Delta in Vietnam has used his PC and some cheap parts to create a homemade endoscope. Thanks Ewan! Link.

It run doom on it! MAME for Digita, the first truly portable version of MAME, emulating Donky Kong and Doom for Digita running shareware Doom on a Kodak DC265 Digita OS based digital camera. MAME for the Sega Dreamcast video game console connected to a TV emulating Xevious. Thanks Doug! Link.
It’s never too early to start planning for Halloween – Fasten a large grotesque head to the end of a stick four or five feet long; around the neck gather a skirt of black material, long enough to reach the ground when the end of the stick is extended at arm’s length above the head of the operator inside... These dolls are blank and come with markers so your kids (or anyone else) can draw their own designs, faces and more on them. They’re $40 which isn’t too bad, but I bet you could get a doll pattern and make your own DIY Draw-It-On Dolls. Could be fun for kid’s parties and such.
