Very clever viral vid from director Dulcidio Caldeira for MTV Brazil. The balloons are mounted on a track. A cart bearing a camera and a sharp pin starts rolling at one end, filming and popping as it goes. Each balloon has a single frame of the animation hand-drawn on its surface. Looks like they may have stopped it a couple times to clear balloon bits from the lens.

Although Instructables user bbstudio’s entry in their ongoing Egg-Bot challenge falls a bit short on the “instruct” front, his or her experiment “to remove as much material from an egg shell as possible while still retaining the shape and image of the egg” has undeniably produced some impressive results.
Using projected light from four different directions, an app called Trimensional, from Georgia Tech researcher Grant Schindler, will assemble a 3D scan using an iPhone 4’s built-in camera. Once you’ve captured a desirable visage you can optionally memorialize said countenance by outputting a watertight file and sending it to your favorite 3D printer.
