ArtBots: The Robot Talent Show is next weekend in Dublin. We’ve had musical robots in the past (including Lemur), but this year’s show focuses more on robotic sculpture and installation. WorldEar is a device that would be installed at the head-height of seated passengers in trains around the world. Because of its low volume, users must turn their heads to listen to other worlds. Scrolling through a list of cities users would hear ambient sound from the city shown, transmitted using the wireless network in place in many of the subway systems around the world. Link.
