Microsoft’s IoT Developer Program Puts Windows on Little Boards
I found it interesting that you could put Windows on an Intel Galileo. Like the version of Windows for for small tablets, it’s free (as in beer). To program a Galileo running Windows, you’ll need to run Visual Studio and write some C++.

Automatic wireless drink mixer
The Automatic wireless drink mixer is a final project for a group from the University of Washington’s Electrical Engineering department (ee478). There’s a wireless touchpad interface that talks to the main unit via xbee, an RFID cup interface that keeps track of what you drink, and the whole thing is controlled by a PIC32.
