Here’s a neat idea from designers razy2. Instead of casting a chair out of foam or silicone, they decided to build one up layer by layer out of what looks like a giant Post-It pad.
I found these truly stunning pieces of cut paper at the thrift store this weekend for $.60 each! I can’t imagine how painstaking these must be to make. They scanned into very perfect pieces of art. I was thinking of using them to burn some screens for screenprinting, and then framing them.
With some decorative papers, thumbtacks and about 20 minutes, this super-easy technique will literally transform your home. Try outfitting an old china hutch or a tired looking entertainment center. Besides just hiding the contents of your cupboards, decorative papers or fabrics will make a design statement that can always be in fashion.
Light and paper are always a good combination, and indirect lighting can be such a nice way to soften the feeling in a room.
