The Hand Embroidery Network is quickly building a rich resource of stitch instructions through their Stitch A Day project. The pictures and instructions are very clear, and they often include variations on the stitch and good pictures of the final stitch in action, making the lessons incredibly valuable.

French artist and naturalist Hubert Duprat used the hermit crab shell switcheroo technique to make these precious and semi-precious materials available to a group of caddis fly larvae.
