Surprisingly good prints from the cheapest, smallest, most portable 3D printer yet.
BROOK DRUMM’S PRINTRBOT JR. IS THE FIRST OF WHAT WILL BE A SERIES OF “PORTABLE PRINTRBOTS” designed for those exploring 3D printing for the first time. (Also in this series: the briefcase printer created in collaboration with designer Ben Heck, PrintrbotGO, that was demonstrated at World Maker Faire 2012.)

I have a bill of materials for other parts. That said, it is a pain in the butt and not much cheaper than buying the kit for $399 right now.
I’ve got one of these and it’s pretty good. I will say however, as with anything, this cheaper little one leaves a lot for the user to do, and as such is more of a hobbyists tool. But if you are a hobbyist, this little guy is perfect for getting started in 3D printing.
