Self-Cleaning Buildings to Fight Smog

Building “Using technology already available for self-cleaning windows and bathroom tiles, scientists hope to paint up cities with materials that dissolve and wash away pollutants when exposed to sun and rain. Moving by Bicycle

Moving by Bicycle

Bikejay I’ve moved several times entirely by bicycle. Usually I’ve used a Worksman trike pulling a large 4’x3′ trailer. I’ve hauled huge things with the Worksman, including couches and washing machines. It’s funny how people tell me, “Oh, I wish I’d known you were moving, I have a car.” As though we could fit a couch or a washing machine in their car! With a large trailer, I’m actually more mobile than I would be with a passenger automobile. [via] Link.

MSN Virtual Earth is out…(early) UPDATE

MSN Virtual Earth is out…(early) UPDATE

Msnmaps I think Microsoft planned on announcing this on Monday, but after reading the comments here– it looks like someone figured out that Microsoft’s Virtual Earth (MS version of Google maps) is out. It has a feature called “locate me” You can install Location Finder to display your current location on a Virtual Earth map by using Wi-Fi technology. If you do not install Location Finder, or if your computer does not support Wi-Fi, Virtual Earth can attempt to find your location by using the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer. This method is less accurate. To learn more, see Use Locate Me. Have fun, go play… Link. Update: Here is the API site, also a day early.
