The TapeTricity Card is a great first electronics project for kids. It’s quick, cheap, easy, and fun to make. Not only does it teach how to make a simple circuit, but it engages the maker’s creativity. You can make one for about 25 cents in materials.
In this video I will show you the steps to building your own robot and talk a little about the programming it to move. I wanted to create a robotics platform that allowed me to modify things anytime I needed to. I also wanted to build it with parts that I had around my shop already.

Mataerial is a 3D printer that breaks out of the box, literally. The prototype unit is additive, like other 3D printers, but that’s where the comparison ends.
