From thermostats to security systems, networked devices are moving into the home and into the mainstream–and makers are leading the way. As MAKE kicks off a week of “connected home” projects, tutorials, and inspiration this week, we’re launching a contest for the best reader-submitted connected home/Internet of Things project. The winner, to be selected by MAKE editors, will receive:

To submit your contest entry, please enter your name, project name, email address, phone number, and clear, comprehensive project build instructions with how-to steps for successfully reproducing the project (and any photos, videos, or digital assets, if available). Submissions are due by 11:59 PST on Thursday Feb 6, 2014. (Winners will be announced on Friday, February 7, 2014.)
