We sold out of the Netduino Plus at Maker Faire and just got them back in the Maker Shed. The Netduino Plus is an open source electronics platform using the .NET Micro Framework. The Plus also features an on board MicroSD slot and RJ-45 jack for Ethernet connectivity.
Never mind “special.” Dad doesn’t want something “special” for Father’s Day: He wants something awesome. Something that he can use. And if you made it yourself, it will remind him how unexpectedly competent his kid turned out to be every time he looks at it. POV (persistence of vision) displays allow you to spell out words that appear to float in mid-air by flashing a single row of LEDs in sequence. The Red Blinky POV, now available in the Maker Shed, has a very unique feature; no programming port is required to change the text!
