The Janus 5 card packet capturing wireless box : MAKE AUDIO

GarageBand.com has a new podcast publishing feature- so I tried it out. It’s pretty easy, I recorded audio on my local system, uploaded it, then searched for a few songs that I thought were interesting (Nintendo sounding sounds / Bo Bice!) and added them to a “master playlist” from there I made a new podcast, with the playlist, set the order, typed some text and published. In about 5 minutes I made a radio show. Here it is, click download MP3 to listen. Link.
I thought it would be fun to talk with MAKE pal Richard Giles in Australia for today’s MAKE Audio show, so here’s the Gadget Show for May 22nd. We chatted about MAKE issue 02, E3, Astromechs, VOIP for the Nintendo DS, NASA’s O2 challenge, the XBOX 360, Broadcast Flag part II and a lot more. Download / Subscribe to the audio here.
Amazing project that guts a Mac Mini and adds batteries. This is a pretty detailed article with photos, and great step by step. The Mac Mini ran for just over One Hour and 50 Minutes (1:50) on the Li-ion Polymer batteries! Link.
Today Nintendo announced their super tiny 4 inches wide, 2 inches tall and 0.7 inches deep Game Boy Micro. While it’s not functionally different than the Game Boy SP, it’s a lot smaller and perhaps cheaper. I really like the Game Boy SP / Advance as a hackable platform, in issue 02 of MAKE (shipping now) we have an article about using GB’s as photo viewers, ebook readers, music players and home-brew code devices, the new micro will do all this and more- smaller. We like that. Link.
