Check out this week’s highlights from the MAKE Flickr pool! My personal favorite comes from user maushammer, who photographed the scariest NFPA diamond I’ve ever seen at the Boulder Hazardous Materials Management Facility.
I first wanted to call this post “When ‘Bots Attack” or something similarly FOX-esque, but couldn’t bring myself to do it. There’s been plenty of alarmism about robots recently, and swarming robots are particularly juicy targets for people looking to stir up controversy since there seems to be something particularly loathsome and/or frightening to us about swarming creatures in general.
Highlights from this week’s Flickr pool round-up include more gorgeous math-art from fdecomite, more awesome component-miniatures from Lenny&Meriel, a beautifully-shot Egg-Bot print on a clear lightbulb, a prototype Lego-studded iPod case, and more!
This week’s Flickr pool round-up includes some of our favorite shots from last weekend’s Bay Area Maker Faire 2011. Featured is a beautiful portrait of perennial Faire favorite and informal mascot Russell the Electric Giraffe.
We have done both gear- and gear-making-related roundups before, but our gear world has turned (bam!) quite a few times since then, and we’ve covered some even hotter gear action in the interim. Someday there’s going to be a gear-roundup roundup. But for now, here’s our top gear content as it stands today:
Ever known somebody who makes things more complicated than they have to be?
