I had a sense, as early as Tuesday, that it was going to be a yellow kind of week, and sure enough, the MAKE Flickr pool has proved it out. And though yellow has lots of negative connotations, it happens to be my favorite color, probably because it reminds of me construction equipment and power tools. Oh, and flowers. I have credible reports from people who have actually seen nature that flowers are sometimes yellow, too.

Owwwww, my head. I am still recovering from what will almost certainly be the best Elevensday celebration of my life. Unless I make it to 11/11/2111, that is. Fingers crossed. This week’s MAKE Flickr pool roundup is full of great Halloween memories. As I predicted, the third week of October has brought with it the MAKE Flickr pool’s first Jack-o’-lantern of 2011—a leering, laser-cut, LED-lit orange from Hacked Gadgets blogger Alan Parekh. I’m also pretty stoked about the bolt-shouldered, needle-felted frog from FeltedChicken (whose koi I featured last Monday), and the latest amazing steampunkery from gogglerman.
