It won’t be long before our college-aged readers head back to school for yet another year of studying and general devotion to all things academic. To make the next couple semesters a little more geeky, we’re rounding up our favorite hacks that would be perfect for the residence halls.
Stanford School of Engineering is offering three classes this fall with open enrollment and free admission. The first is Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. It is taught by Peter Norvig, author of Artificial Intelligence, A Modern Approach, and Sebastian Thrun, Research Professor of Computer Science at Stanford.
Chad’s a former student of mine who has been doing electric car projects for about six years now. On seeing The Cap Kart project, he says:
If you were to start an electric vehicle school program, I would start by following these guidelines to build an electric go-kart! It looks like they got everything donated and therefore kept the overhead down. After doing this you could challenge other schools in the area to a race. Also, this would be a great stepping stone for moving towards a full vehicle!!
