Why not strap a monster crate motor onto a custom skateboard frame? If you did, would it be the fastest? That’s debatable. I say that the engine would tear the frame up and throw the rider before it could gain significant speed. Some would say that you don’t even need an engine to go fast on a skateboard. That didn’t stop the folks at V8 Supercars from Sydney, Australia from building their monster 630hp V8 Skateboard.

Searching Flickr groups for “Lego” returns over four-thousand hits. Among the interesting oddities I’ve discovered so far is the LEGO Life-Size weapons group, which has 160 items. Shown here is M4 v5 by The Dawg’s Guns. There are also Lego knives, Lego bombs–even a wearable Lego Boba Fett get-up.

Dominic Wilcox wants £159 for his 2002 piece War Bowl, which may make some amount of sense since Wilcox is a fairly well-established “name” artist, and the piece itself has been exhibited in various fancy places. Still, you can make your own version by partially melting a bunch of army men in a glass or metal bowl in the oven, and it’ll cost you just a buck or two. [via Gizmodo]
